NEW FORUM UPDATES, PLEASE READ

OK Bill got phpBB2 installed on the HOD server. We ARE NOT switching over yet, just testing it. I'm tired of the sponsored links here and wanted to try something new.
Please keep in mind the new forum is NOT FINAL in any way. I will make changes as issues arise, ultimately it's for you guys more than me so keep the suggestions coming. [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

I love the new forum!!!! Much faster!!! If someone can get all of the old stuff transferred over, I won't be back to this one! Much easier to use.

I'vre always like this forum, just hated the color...I liked the original color scheme...but always like change as well.

The new board is similar to most others. I did like that this board was different. It would be nice to personalize it like Drumgod referred to with graphics.

Are you going to keep the HOD site? I also hope you don't cluter the new site with a zillion topics most others have like;

Matched grip chat
Cymbal chat
Technique chat
Transcription chat
Political chat

Don't worry, there will be no sub-forums. I like keeping everyone together.
Glad to hear it's faster. My performance varies depending on where I am. The color scheme will change most likely, that's a theme I liked and installed just to test that functionality. I may install several and let the users pick which one they want. Over time I will add more drum related graphics.I don't like the white background where the actual post is, I'm going to make it something easier on the eyes.

I would also push for having all topics displayed on one page, not sub-forums. Then you have arguments over what topic should be poster where...and you need to load several different sites just to see what's going on. Looks good so far!

PS: Steve, is there a way you could increase the maximum size for avatars slightly? My gadd pic is 2 kb too big..

I have just visited the new forum. I like the combination of colors and style a lot.Really elegant.
As far as saving the great information and posts of this "old" forum: I think that if This forum doesn?t expire, it could be here in his link for ever.
